Personal Development Coach in London
London never slows down. Sometimes you need someone to help you choose where you’re actually going.
It’s easy to get swept along in this city. Commute, work, a quick drink, bed, repeat. Before you know it, a year’s gone, and the plans you had are still sitting in a notebook somewhere.
My name’s Frankie Kington. As a personal development coach, I spend my days talking with people who feel a bit lost, a bit flat, or simply ready for more, Londoners included. Our sessions are one-to-one and usually on video, so you can squeeze one in between meetings, take it at lunch, or log on once the kids are finally asleep. If you’d prefer to meet in person, just ask, and we’ll look at what’s possible.
What Does a Personal Development Coach Do?
Put simply, a personal development coach helps you figure out what you want and then get on with it. For one person that means confidence. For another, it’s finally sorting out their habits, or getting going again after a rough year.
I should be clear that this isn’t therapy. We won’t spend months unpicking your childhood. Our focus is today, the place you want to get to, and whatever is blocking the road in between. If I ever think you’d be better off speaking to a counsellor or your GP, I’ll say so.
Do You Need a Personal Development Coach? A Few Clues
Living in London, it’s very easy to feel as though you’re the only one standing still. Your feed’s full of promotions, side businesses and holidays, and you’re on the Central line wondering what happened to your plans. A few things I often hear:
- “My diary’s rammed, yet nothing seems to change.”
- London was meant to be your fresh start. So far it’s mostly been rent and rush hour.
- Every New Year you write a list. By spring, you’ve no idea where it went.
- Your confidence at work doesn’t match what you’re capable of.
- Everything’s fine on paper. Somehow, though, it doesn’t feel that way.
- There’s something new you’d love to try, if only the fear of messing it up would pipe down.
Sound like you? You’re far from the only one. Plenty of people in this city feel the same and never say it out loud.
What We Work On Together?
Personal development coaching looks different for everyone. These are the areas Londoners most often bring to me.
Confidence and Self-Belief
Some of the most capable people I meet are quietly convinced they’re about to be found out. I’ve battled self-doubt myself, through racism, setbacks, and people who expected little of me. So we don’t just talk about confidence. Instead, we build it slowly, through small actions that take a little nerve.
Goal Setting You’ll Keep Up With
Most of us are great at setting goals and not so great at keeping them. What I’ve found works is making each step so small you can manage it on a grey Wednesday after a long day. That’s when real progress happens.
Mindset Coaching and Motivation
Quite often, the biggest obstacle is the voice in your own head. Working as your mindset coach, I’ll help you catch the thoughts that keep knocking you back and replace them with more useful ones. We follow my 8-step motivational method, so there’s always a clear next stage.
Balance, Boundaries and Wellbeing
Late emails, long commutes, weekends that vanish. London can eat into everything if you let it. I’m also a mental health and wellbeing coach, so together we’ll look at protecting your energy, drawing some firmer lines and spotting burnout before it arrives.
Big Decisions About Work and Life
Perhaps you’re considering a new career, a business of your own, or leaving London for somewhere quieter. Whatever it is, we’ll think it through carefully, so the choice is truly yours rather than something that just happens to you.
Who I Work With Across London?
Young professionals still early in their careers and getting used to life in a huge city.
People who’ve recently moved to London and want it to feel like home, rather than somewhere they’re just getting through.
Busy parents whose own plans have been on the back burner for a long time.
Creatives and freelancers who could do with some structure and a person to answer to.
Aspiring entrepreneurs with an idea they’ve been meaning to start for ages.
Wherever you are in the capital, whether that’s the City, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, Croydon, Stratford, Brixton, Camden, Ealing or Greenwich, you’re welcome. We’ll meet online, so your postcode and zone don’t matter, and you won’t lose an hour on the Tube.
Why Choose Frankie as Your Personal Development Coach in London?
I’ve had to rebuild myself more than once. Racism, knock-backs, people who wrote me off early. That’s taught me more about personal growth than any certificate could, and it’s why I believe change is possible for anyone.
Years of helping people grow. I’ve mentored young people, run weekly Victory over Violence meetings, and led motivational retreats in Spain. Time and again, I’ve watched people change once someone genuinely backs them.
Honest, but never harsh. I’m on your side, which is exactly why I won’t simply agree with everything. If I notice an excuse creeping in, I’ll mention it, gently.
Two books on overcoming adversity. Relentless: Empowering Stories of Overcoming Adversity and Flying On The Inside and Reaching New Heights share stories of people who kept going when giving up would’ve been easier.
Real feedback from real people. Clients have described me as calm, honest, and determined, someone who helps people relax and open up.
How Personal Development Coaching Works?
- Start with a free call. Tell me what’s happening and what you’d like to change. It’s a conversation, not a sales pitch.
- Decide what matters. We’ll settle on two or three goals and put them in writing, in everyday language.
- Find a schedule that works. You decide how often we meet and for how long. Video calls tend to suit London life best, and my pricing is flexible.
- Take small steps. At the end of each session, you’ll have one manageable task to try before we next speak. We use my 8-step motivational method to keep momentum going.
- Check in and adjust. We look at what’s working, ditch what isn’t, and keep going.
Free with coaching: my e-books and e-learning courses on leadership, entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship.
TESTIMONIALS
Frankie has organised weekly Victory over Violence meetings, which unite people to standing up against injustice and violence within society, to show people that there is always a better way. Personally, as a younger member of society, Frankie has taken me under his wing and like so many other young people mentored me to be the best version of myself. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend Frankie to any youth or organisations looking for inspiration and support. Now more than ever we need examples such as Frankie in our society.

Frankie puts others first and sacrifices his time so we can progress. he remains humble, he listens to me and cares for my progression as if it is his own. Truly a wonderful, delightful friend who I learn from continually every time we talk. Early in the morning, late at night Frankie Kington has been there, mentoring me in my ambition. Frankie has highlighted many pitfalls that would have set me back years if not for the advice. He has opened doors for me I may have struggled to opened on my own. I have a list of trustworthy contacts as long as my arm, thanks to Frankie Kington

I have known Frankie Kington for some 15 years. We were involved in network marketing. He is a very humble man. He got himself the nickname ‘the gentle giant’. He always works in a determined and compassionate way qualities that are paramount for a mentor and coach like him. I would not hesitate to recommend Frankie when it comes down to working with young people and indeed anyone that needs mentoring or coaching.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Frankie on a course in Spain. His motivational classes were excellent. He was able to educate, inform and inspire with passion and warmth. He has a clever way of breaking down barriers and making people feel relaxed. He is sure of his subject matter and was able to put his message across eloquently yet informally. He has a pleasant, friendly manner and I would recommend his classes to anyone of all ages and backgrounds.Â

I just want to say that joining Frankie on this great retreat away in Spain was a blast he really showed real genuine love for us especially getting myself going on this course which I could never forget. During the sessions and activities that Frankie introduced the whole group to was so powerful, you just had this sense of belief when he was pushing us to come out of our comfort zones its like nothing else mattered but listening to his 8 step method to motivation and not only that but the chanting we practiced too was a way of healing afterwards. Frankie had supported everyone it wasn’t just about himself he really showed he cared for many of us if we were either injured or emotional or stressed because of the sessions we endured. He has helped me so much to gaining this confidence in me and to really move in a new direction. He never wants you to feel down he just has this heart that supports the energy of others around him and since meeting Frankie my good friend awhile back its definitely grown as a strong friendship the way he bonded to put trust in other people was amazing. Everyone who feels drawn should definitely talk to him for advice if your young or older because someone out there has it a lot worse and maybe needs Frankie’s support.

FAQ's
How do I find a good personal development coach in London?
There are a lot of coaches in London, so look past the slick websites. Read their reviews, ask about their background, and take them up on a free call if they offer one. Most importantly, notice whether you’d feel able to be honest with them, because coaching depends on it.
Is a life coach the same as a personal development coach?
Not quite, although there’s plenty of overlap. Life coaching usually centres on a particular goal or change. Personal development coaching takes a wider view of how you think, behave, and grow over time. I bring both into my sessions.
Is personal development coaching worth paying for?
That depends on you. A coach can’t make the changes on your behalf. What I can offer is focus, honest feedback, and steady support, and in my experience that is often the difference between meaning to do something and actually doing it.
Can I work with you online from London?
Yes, that’s how I usually work with people in London. Video sessions are just as personal, and you save yourself a trip across town.
How long does personal development coaching take?
Some people come for a few sessions to tackle one thing. Others prefer regular support over several months while they make bigger changes. It’s your call.
How much does a personal development coach cost in London?
Prices across London vary a lot. My fees are flexible and depend on the level of support you’re after. The free call is the best place to talk it through and agree something that works for your budget.
